Mod started in the late 50’s with a handful of individuals with a thirst for style.Young peacocks with a taste for MODern Jazz and American R&B, European and US clothing. They wanted something more stylish and exciting then the trad jazz scene and the crude teddy boys had to offer. In the early sixties they become known as MODS. 1964 the pheonomenum had spread out of London and the suburbs across the whole of the UK and beyond. Modernism and 60’s culture, through music, art, fashion and design would have a profound effect on MODern life as we know it. Come inside and see why this fascinating lifestyle and culture is still thriving in the 21st century.
